Today we’re going to make a classic kids art project, handprints! This is a fun and easy activity that is fun to repeat often as your kids grow. Mix a drop or two of dishwashing soap into the paint for easy cleanup, then paint the child’s palm. The cool paint & bristles provide an interesting sensory experience and might produce a few giggles as well. Older kids can press their palm to paper, lifting up slowly! You can keep a bowl of warm water and dish towel handy to make cleanup easier. Little ones can paint too! Supervise the child carefully and always use a non-toxic paint labeled for use for children. Painting the palm is neater and provides a better imprint than letting the child dip their hands into the paint. Help younger children apply the right amount of pressure, and help them lift their hand cleanly and slowly from the paper. Tada! You can have kids embellish their creations or hang as is.
